Resumen

Dos de las novelas de Amado Nervo nos demuestran su virtud hacia la narrativa, situándose entre el romanticismo y modernismo, en una prosa que recoge las contradicciones de su época. Es así como ambas obras son capaces de combinar elementos temáticos y discursivos que devienen en una estética fantástica con recursos retóricos que aluden a la ambigüedad, la cual sirve para mostrar dos formas de erotismo en ambas obras; además de la metatextualidad en la que el narrador interactúa directamente con su público.

“Eroticism and metatextuality in The Donor of Souls and ‘The Bride of Corinth’ by Amado Nervo”

Abstract

Two of Amado Nervo’s novels show us his virtue towards narrative, situating himself between romanticism and modernism, in a prose that collects the contradictions of his time.This is how, both works are able to combine thematic and discursive elements that become a fantastic aesthetic with rhetorical resources that allude to ambiguity, which serves to show two forms of eroticism in both works; which serves to show two forms of eroticism in both works; in addition to the metatextuality in which the narrator interacts directly with his audience.
